SMART is proud to be part of Building Resiliency and Vaccine Equity (BRAVE), a new Public Health Corp (PHC) initiative aimed at reducing rates of illness and mortality associated with respiratory infections such as COVID and the flu. This opportunity supports SMART’s efforts to increase vaccine coverage in East Harlem through outreach events, community conversations, tailored messaging, social media messaging, and the provision of resources and guidance in navigating health systems and vaccine appointments. We will also be spreading awareness about Long COVID, its symptoms, its impact on health and wellbeing, and ways to seek help.
Please join us every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. on Facebook Live for a 30 minute conversation on current health topics. We will be hosting medical professionals to discuss issues related to respiratory illnesses such as COVID, RSV, and the flu, and the importance of keeping up-to-date with available vaccines. These conversations are open to all!
