SMART Culinary Workshops teach healthy eating, nutrition, and safe food preparation to help women manage chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Weekly recipes spotlight specific health issues that can be mitigated through food choices. While we are presently unable to hold our in-person cooking classes at the East Harlem Neighborhood Health Action Center, we are offering weekly live-streamed classes on Facebook every Thursday at 11am. Class instructors, working from their home kitchens, present step-by-step recipe preparation as participants follow along with comments and questions in the Facebook chat. Instructors are then able to answer questions in real time at the end of their presentations.

SMART hosted its first ever hybrid Culinary Workshop, live-streamed on Facebook from our home at the East Harlem Neighborhood Health Action Center! Thank you to SMART Chefs, SMART production staff, SMART Ambassadors, and SMART women participants who helped make this a spectacular debut! Look for more hybrid classes to come!
